Graphic Designer (P/T)

Summary

We are seeking a part-time Graphic Designer in the Baltimore area to work at Redstart Creative, a branding and marketing agency that focuses mainly on non-profit and women-owned organizations. This is a part-time, hourly position approximately 15-20 hours a week, with the possibility for increased hours.

The Graphic Designer will conceive and implement visual marketing programs that range from print media to digital presentations.  The Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing engaging collateral for our clients that tell a story and elicit an emotional response from readers. This position works in conjunction with the Creative Director to develop creative concepts on new projects.  The Graphic Designer will attend, in person, all client meetings and on occasion, deliver and present creative concepts to the client.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Interview clients and create content assets.
  • Interpret clients’ vision and execute a tangible and deliverable product.
  • Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts, based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.
  • Use computer software to generate new images.
  • Attend and participate in kick-off meetings; present client information, contribute to the development of plans and the launch of the project.
  • Aid in the development of solid trusting relationships with clients.
  • Establish schedules on both long and short-term projects; meet deadlines.

To be the best fit for this job, you will need:

  • A thorough understanding of art, copy and layout; experience using design software, such as Adobe Illustrator, In-Design, and Photoshop is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Art, Design, Graphic Design or related field; MFA preferred, but not required.
  • Proven track record and 3+ years’ experience in design field as a Graphic Designer.
  • An online portfolio that demonstrates strong visual design skills and experience creating rich media.
  • Strong project management skills and team-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Expert level experience in Adobe Design Suite.
  • Experience designing for social media channels.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to give presentations.
  • Taking the initiative and being culpable for work production.
  • Capability to develop compelling creative concepts and present those ideas to senior management.

Digital Marketing Strategist

Summary

We are seeking a full-time Digital Marketing Strategist in the Baltimore area to work at Redstart Creative, a branding and marketing agency that focuses mainly on non-profit and women-owned organizations.

The Digital Marketing Strategist will be responsible for the successful management of digital strategy for client brands. This includes websites, email and social media. The role requires an innovator, a trendsetter, and a progressive thinker who can connect digital to all other aspects of a client business and communicate effectively with the internal team. Our strategist will be responsible for achieving the client’s strategic brand and business objectives by working with clients to provide them with guidance and working with the internal team to achieve execution of strategies. He or she will be responsible for client contact, organizing information shared by and with the client, and ensuring a seamless delivery of all work to the client.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops unique digital marketing strategies and content strategy (including content calendaring) using all necessary tools (i.e. website, emails, social media and blogs).
  • Fosters timeline development and monitors progress while remaining deadline driven.
  • Remain up-to-date with clients’ industries and proactively recommend new campaigns.
  • Liaise with Marketing, Sales, Design and Content Teams to optimize customer experience and ensure brand consistency.
  • Management of website (WordPress CMS), social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) and email marketing campaigns.
  • Develop digital strategies for clients, to include some content writing.
  • Manage internal team to ensure team is aligned to client requirements.
  • Proactively keep abreast of assigned clients’ marketing and media plans, and provides technological solutions, including rich media, site optimization, promotional ideas, mobile, social networks, viral, etc.
  • Write communication briefs and oversees analytics reporting, ensuring that creative and media are effectively integrated.

To be the best fit for this job, you will need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Marketing, Advertising or related field.
  • Proven track record and 5+ years’ experience in digital marketing and social media, preferably as a Digital Marketing Strategist or Manager.
  • Excellent communication skills. Ability to interact and build strong relationships with clients, team members and subordinates.
  • Strong project management skills and team-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience managing a creative team and content writing specialists.
